1 lb. ground beef (I prefer 80/20 or 85/15)
2 oz. American cheese (I used Velveeta), cut into 4 equal cubes
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 Turano Brioche buns, toasted
4 leaves lettuce
4-8 slices tomato
¼ onion, sliced thin
8-12 pickle chips
Divide meat into 8 equal pieces. Pat and roll each into a ball.
On a folded sheet of parchment, flatten two balls into approximately 4.5” discs.
Place a piece of cheese on one patty, then fold the other over the top. Crimp the edges of the patties together tightly, trying to make sure there are no air pockets inside. Repeat three more times. Season all with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat, sear the burgers on each side for 3-4 minutes.
Dress burger buns with toppings and patties.
