Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese

Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese

• 1 medium Jalapeños
• 2 slices of Turano Rustic Italian
• 2 teaspoons of Mayo
• 2 ounce cream cheese, softened
• 1 tbsp sliced green onions
• Dash of garlic powder
• Shredded cheeses of your choice (Mild Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, White Cheddar)
• 2 tsp honey
• 1/4 cup Corn Flakes

① Start by mixing together cream cheese, garlic powder and sliced green onions until well combined.
② Cut jalapeño into 1/4-inch slices. If you want your sandwich less spicy, use a paring knife to remove the seeds and veins.
③ On a non-stick pan over medium heat, add shredded cheese in two areas directly on the pan about the size of your bread slices. Allow space in between the two piles to avoid melting together.
④ While the cheese starts to melt, spread mayo on one side of each of the slices of bread. Place the two pieces of bread mayo-side-down directly on top of the cheese areas.
⑤ Next, on each slice of bread, add the cream cheese mixture, jalapeños slices and more shredded cheese.
⑥ Once the cheese is crisping and turns to a deep golden on the bottom of each slice, sprinkle the two slices with corn flakes, pressing the corn flakes down into the cheese and drizzle with honey.
Then carefully combine the two pieces, placing one on top of the other. Remove the sandwich from the pan, serve immediately and enjoy!
