Pizza Toast Bites


Pane Turano
¼ cup olive oil
1 tbsp. oregano leaves
2 tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. crushed red pepper
1 cup marinara sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
10 slices pepperoni
1 lb. mild Italian sausage, cooked
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
½ cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
¼ cup fresh basil leaves, torn


Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Cut Pane Turano into triangle slices and transfer to the baking tray. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper. Brush the oil over the Pane Turano triangles.

Bake for 10 minutes or until toasted and golden brown. Remove the chips from the oven and leave the oven on.

Layer half of the chips in a large cast iron skillet or on a baking sheet. Spoon half of the marinara sauce on top, then add half of the mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and tomatoes. Layer on the remaining ingredients in the same order. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Top the nachos with freshly grated parmesan and basil, then serve. Enjoy!
