Pot Roast Melt
Ingredients
1 medium yellow onion, peeled, thinly sliced
2 tbl. butter
¼ tsp salt
3 tablespoons butter, softened
8 slices Turano Light Rye Bread
12-16 slices of sharp cheddar
2 cups cooked pot roast, shredded
Directions
In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt two tablespoons butter.
Add sliced onion salt. Let the onions cook slowly, stirring occasionally until soft and golden-brown, 10-15 minutes.
Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread and top un-buttered sides with a slice of cheddar, shredded pot roast,
In a skillet or grill pan over medium heat, grill each sandwich, 2-3 minutes per side.
