Classic Philly Cheesesteak

Classic Philly Cheesesteak

Ingredients

2 Turano Brat Rolls, split
2 tbsp. butter
½ large white onion, thinly sliced
1 rib-eye or flat iron steak (about ¾ lb.), sliced thinly across the grain then roughly sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Butter, for cooking
4 slices Havarti, Provolone, or Muenster cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 250°F.

Heat a nonstick skillet or pan over medium high heat. Add onions and cook for 5-8 minutes, or until softened.

Season the steak with salt and pepper. Cook in the skillet or pan for 2-4 minutes or until just a bit of pink remains. Divide the mixture in half, pushing each half to the side of the skillet. Place two slices of cheese on top of each half; cover and let melt for about 1-2 minutes.

Carefully transfer each half of the meat mixture to the inside of the brat rolls. Wrap tightly with aluminium foil; place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through. Serve immediately and enjoy!
