Fried PB&J Sandwich


5-6 slices Turano 100% Whole Grain Bread
4 eggs
⅔ cup whole milk
⅓ cup sugar
⅓ cup flour
½ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. salt
⅛ tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. butter
Powdered sugar


Assemble the PB&J sandwich. We used 5 slices of bread. We added jelly to one slice, added a slice on top, then added peanut butter, then another slice - and so on - until there was 5 pieces of bread. You can also make two separate sandwiches.

To create the batter, add the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt and cinnamon and whisk until smooth.

Drop the PB into the batter for 30 seconds on each side, so that the batter soaks through.

Add a tablespoon of butter to a griddle or frying pan on medium heat. Once melted, put in the sandwich for about 1-2 minutes on each side.

Once both sides are done, take out of the pan and add powdered sugar. Enjoy immediately!
