Breaded Chicken Torta on Soft Sub Roll


• 4 Turano Soft Sub Rolls, cut in half
• 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
• 1/4 cup sour cream
• 1 avocado, halved, pitted, sliced into 12 pieces
• 1 can refried beans
• 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
• 1 pound cooked, chicken or steak covered in bread crumbs
• 1 tomato, sliced into 8 pieces
• 1 cup shredded lettuce


• Preheat grill pan or skillet over medium heat with oil. (Or turn oven to 375*F to bake sandwiches).
• Spread top halves of each roll with sour cream and add avocado slices.
• Spread refried beans on the bottom halves, top with mozzarella cheese, breaded steak or chicken, lettuce, and tomato.
• Put the whole sandwich together and place on grill pan or skillet.
• Using the back of a spatula, press the sandwiches against the cooking surface.
• Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes. (If baking, wrap sandwiches in foil and cook in the oven 5-7 minutes.)
