Crab Cake Burger
Ingredients
For Crab Cakes:
1 lb. lump crabmeat, fresh or canned
20 saltine crackers, crushed into crumbs
1 tbl. green onion chopped
¼ cup mayo
1 egg, beaten
1 tbl. Dijon mustard
1 tbl. Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup vegetable oil
For Red Pepper and Carrot Slaw:
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tbl. Dijon mustard
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. parsley, chopped
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. Louisiana-style hot sauce
1 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 medium carrots, peeled, shaved into ribbons with a vegetable peeler
For sandwiches:
4 Turano Gourmet Burger Buns, toasted
4 crab cakes
1 cup pepper and carrot slaw
Lettuce
Directions
Combine all ingredients, besides the oil, in a mixing bowl until thoroughly mixed.
Divide mixture into four equal pieces, then form into 4” patties.
In a sauté pan over medium heat, preheat the oil.
Fry the crab cakes for 2-3 minutes per side.
Mix all ingredients besides carrots and peppers together.
Fold in peppers and carrots.
6Stack lettuce, crab cakes and slaw on toasted buns and serve.
