Guinness Bangers and Mash Roll

Ingredients
Bangers and Mash-Up:
• 5 Turano Gourmet Brat Rolls
• 4 cups Mashed Potatoes
• 2 chive stems, diced
• 5 Irish Sausages
Guinness Braised Onions:
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 4 medium yellow onions, sliced thin
• 1 cup Guinness beer
• 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
① To make the onions, heat a Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pot/pan with a lid over medium-high heat.
② Melt the butter then add the yellow onions and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly browned and softened. Add the Guinness then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
③ Uncover, increase heat to high, and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring often to avoid burning, until most of the liquid has cooked off. Preheat oven to broil.
④ Make sure the sausage is thawed, spray a skillet with cooking spray or drizzle olive oil, and add the sausage to the skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned, turning often, about 5 minutes.
⑤ Reduce heat to medium-low. Carefully add ½ cup water to the skillet. Cover and simmer for 12 minutes until the internal temperature is 160°F.
⑥ To build the rolls, place 5 Turano Gourmet Brat Rolls in a baking dish, and fill each roll with Guinness Braised Onions, cooked Irish Sausage, and mashed potatoes. Place in the oven and broil for 2-3 minutes, until the mashed potatoes are golden and the rolls are toasted. Keep an eye on them to avoid the rolls getting too dark. Top with chives and enjoy!
