Sonoran Hot Dog
Sonoran Hot Dog
Ingredients
4 strips bacon
4 hot dogs
8 toothpicks
2 tsp. oil
½ onion, thinly sliced
4 Turano Brat & Sausage Rolls
½ cup pinto beans, warm
½ onion, minced
½ cup tomato, chopped
Mustard, to taste
Ketchup, to taste
Mayonnaise, to taste
Salsa verde or jalapeno hot sauce, to taste
Directions
Coil one strip of bacon around each hot dog from end to end. Place toothpicks though both the bacon and dogs near each end to hold the bacon in place. Repeat for remaining hot dogs.
Grill the dogs over medium heat in medium or large sauté pan, until bacon is crisp.
Remove dogs from the pan and set aside. Add oil and sliced onion to the pan and quickly brown over high heat, stirring frequently.
Serve dogs on Turano Brat and Sausage Rolls topped with sautéed onions, pinto beans, chopped onion, tomato, mustar, ketchup, mayo and salsa/hot sauce.
