Beer Cheese Chopped Sandwich

Beer Cheese Chopped Sandwich

Ingredients
• 2 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
• 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 4 Turano French Rolls
• 2 tbsp butter, softened (for toasting rolls)
• Toppings: pickles, shredded lettuce, tomato
Beer Cheese Sauce
• 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup beer (light beer)
• 8 oz cream cheese
• 2 tsp Dijon mustard
• Salt & pepper, to taste
Directions
① Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and diced onion. Season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
② Cook, breaking the beef into small pieces, until fully browned and onions are soft and caramelized, about 8–10 minutes. Set aside.
③ In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine beer and cream cheese. Stir until smooth. Slowly add shredded cheddar, stirring until melted and creamy. Season with Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Keep warm.
④ Slice Turano French Rolls horizontally and butter lightly. Toast in a skillet or oven until golden.
⑤ Spoon chopped beef and onion mixture onto each roll. Drizzle generously with beer cheese sauce. Top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. Close the sandwich and serve hot.
