Classic Reuben Sandwich


Classic Reuben Sandwich Ingredients:
• 2 slices - Turano Rye Bread
• 4 slices – Swiss Cheese
• 3T – Russian Dressing (recipe below), split.
• 1/4 lb - Vienna Corned Beef Brisket, sliced thin across the grain
• 1/2C – Vienna Beef Sauerkraut, drained
• 2T – Unsalted Butter, split, softened

Russian Dressing Ingredients:
• 1⁄2C - Mayonnaise
• 1/2C – Sour Cream
• 1/4C – Ketchup
• 1T – Vienna Chicago Style Relish
• 1tsp – Lemon Juice
• 1 clove – Grated or finely minced garlic
• 1T – Minced Shallot
• 1tsp – Worcestershire
• 1⁄4 tsp – Sweet Paprika
• 1⁄4 tsp – Cayenne pepper
• Salt and Pepper to taste


① Toss the tomatoes, and the rest of the ingredients together in a medium size bowl. Toss to coat, then adjust seasonings as needed, adding more salt, oregano, or vinegar, as desired. Cover and refrigerate until you are ready to serve with the grilled Pane Turano bread.
② Heat a grill or grill pan, to medium-high. Brush the Pane Turano with olive oil. Grill until nice and toasty and until the ridges are clearly defined. About 1-2 min per side.
③ Serve the grilled Pane Turano with the bruschette topping on the side.
Russian Dressing Steps:
① In a medium sized bowl, whisk together all ingredients.
② Taste and adjust to your preference.
③ Place into airtight container and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Sandwich Build Steps:
① Pre-heat a medium-sized, non-stick skillet on medium heat
② Butter one side of the bread and flip over onto plate. Do this twice and reserving 1 for the top of sandwich.
③ Spread Russian dressing on opposite side, followed by corned beef and sauerkraut
④ Place top piece dressing side down and place into a pre-heated.
⑤ Toast until the bread is toasted, flip sandwich and do the same on the other side.
⑥ Cut in half and enjoy
