Double-Decker Melt on Italian Bread
Ingredients
½ cup mayo
¼ cup ketchup
1 clove garlic, minced
1-2 dashes hot sauce
2 tbl. pickles, chopped or pickle relish
Pinch of celery salt
4 slices Turano Italian Bread
4-2 oz. burger patties, cooked (Seared on a griddle gives it that classic diner burger flavor)
2 slices cheddar cheese
2 slices American cheese
2 slices Swiss cheese
1 tbl. butter
Directions
Mix all ingredients together
Preheat a medium skillet over medium heat. Melt the butter.
Load one piece of bread into the skillet then top with a slice of cheddar, a burger patty, a slice of American, 1 or 2 tbl. secret sauce, another burger patty, a slice of Swiss and another slice of bread. Repeat for other sandwich.
Grill Sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side.
