French Roll Pizza Sliders

Ingredients
• 6 ounces Italian sausage
• 12 Turano Mini French Rolls
• 1 cup pizza sauce, can use marinara sauce
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 24 pepperoni slices
• 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
• 3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• Dash crushed red pepper flakes
• 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
• Extra pizza sauce or marinara sauce, for serving, optional
Directions
① Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Grease with cooking oil spray and set aside.
② In a medium skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink; drain and set aside.
③ Use a serrated knife to cut the Turano Mini French Rolls in half lengthwise.
④ Place the bottom half of the Turano Mini French Rolls in the prepared pan and spread with evenly with ½ cup of the pizza sauce (or marinara).
⑤ Top with 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Add the pepperoni slices and cooked Italian sausage. Top with remaining shredded cheese.
⑥ Spread the remaining ½ cup of pizza sauce (or marinara) on the cut side of the Mini French Roll tops. Place on top of the shredded cheese, creating one large sandwich.
⑦ In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes.
⑧ Brush the Mini French Roll tops with garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with parsley. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until Mini French Roll tops are lightly browned.
⑨ Remove from the oven and slice into individual sliders. Serve immediately. You can serve with extra pizza sauce or marinara, for dunking.
