• 2 egg yolks, beaten
• 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
• ¼ tsp. ground cardamom
• ½ tsp. ground coriander
• 1 cup egg nog
• 2 tbl. butter
• 8 slices Pane Turano
8 slices Swiss cheese
½ lb. spiral sliced ham (or smoked ham, sliced medium-thick)
½ lb. carved turkey meat (or deli turkey, sliced medium thick)
¼ cup pepper jelly
Dijonnaisse (if desired)
Powdered Sugar (if desired)
Beat egg yolks with spices, then whisk in egg nog.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Dip one side of 4 slices of Pane Turano In the batter, then add to the pan and top with cheese.
Add half of the ham and turkey to the pan to warm through, about 1 minute.
Add the ham and turkey over the cheese, add pepper jelly and Dijonnaisse and close sandwich.
Flip sandwich over if needed to finish browning the bread.
Repeat steps 3-6 for remaining sandwiches.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
