Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich
Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich
Ingredients
• 1 Bell Peppers
• 1 yellow onion
• Beef
• 3 Turano French Rolls
• American Cheese
• Heavy Whipping Cream
• 4 ½ Tbsp butter
• Olive Oil
Directions
① Place your griddle or cast iron on the stove over high heat. You want the pan to be very hot before placing any ingredients. While your griddle is heating up, slice onions, peppers and meat into thin strips.
② Place the cut strips of meat on the hot griddle, season with salt and pepper. Flip the meat so both sides are seared. Remove the meat and set aside.
③ Lower the stove to medium heat and place the sliced peppers and onions on the griddle. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Saute until cooked through. Finish with half a stick of butter. Remove and set aside.
④ Spread butter on the inside of each french roll and toast it face down on the griddle until golden brown.
⑤ For the cheese sauce, slice American cheese into cubes. Pour a little heavy whipping cream into a pot over very low heat and add in the cheese cubes. Season with salt, garlic powder and pepper.
⑥ Continuously stir the cheese sauce over very low heat until it is smooth in texture with no clumps. Note, keep the cheese sauce heated and stirred until ready to serve, once the sauce is removed from the heat it begins to thicken.
⑦ Combine the cooked meat, peppers and onions and dice with a sharp knife into small pieces. Take a large scoop of the sandwich filling and place inside of the toasted French Roll. Top with the melty cheese and enjoy!
