Red Eye BBQ Burger



Ingredients
8 strips bacon
1 tbl. brown sugar
1 tbl. ground coffee
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
4 – 6-8 oz. burger patties
2 tbl. vegetable oil
4 slices Swiss cheese
Barbecue sauce, to taste
4 Turano Brioche Buns
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Lay strips of bacon on a baking sheet.
Mix brown sugar, coffee, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
Sprinkle half of the spice mixture over the strips of bacon
Bake bacon for 10-12 minutes or until crisp.
Preheat a skillet or griddle to medium-high.
Sprinkle remaining spice mixture on both sides of burgers.
Add oil to skillet/griddle, then add burgers. Cook burgers 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove burgers from pan/griddle. Toast buns on griddle for 30 seconds-1 minute.
Top burgers with Swiss cheese, barbecue sauce and bacon, then serve.
