Red Eye BBQ Burger

Ingredients

• 4 Turano Brioche Buns
• 8 strips bacon
• 1 tbl. brown sugar
• 1 tbl. ground coffee
• ½ tsp. salt
• ½ tsp. black pepper
• 4 – 6-8 oz. burger patties
• 2 tbl. vegetable oil
• 4 slices Swiss cheese
• Barbecue sauce, to taste


Directions

• Preheat oven to 400°F.
• Lay strips of bacon on a baking sheet.
• Mix brown sugar, coffee, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
• Sprinkle half of the spice mixture over the strips of bacon
• Bake bacon for 10-12 minutes or until crisp.
• Preheat a skillet or griddle to medium-high.
• Sprinkle remaining spice mixture on both sides of burgers.
• Add oil to skillet/griddle, then add burgers. Cook burgers 3-4 minutes per side.
• Remove burgers from pan/griddle. Toast buns on griddle for 30 seconds-1 minute.
• Top burgers with Swiss cheese, barbecue sauce and bacon, then serve.
