Smoked Sausage Roll


• Turano Brat Rolls
• 1- 6" Smoked sausage link
• 1 slice Pepper Jack cheese
• Grilled onions
• 2 Tbsp. Pico d Gallo
• Chipotle Mustard


① Chipotle mustard; 1/4 cup whole grain mustard, 2 Tbsp. chopped chipotle pepper from can, 2 heaping Tbsp. brown sugar (mix well).
② Slice 1 medium onion into rings (separate) In a pan heat 1 Tbsp. oil until hot, add onion rings and fry until edges begin to brown, reduce heat to low and cover pan to let the onions cook slowly and caramelize.
③ Meanwhile split the sausage lengthwise, leaving it hinged, Separately heat a second pan or grill until hot, place sausage on grill or pan, cut side down.
④ Grill or heat until sausage begins to brown then turn and brown skin side. Open bun into "V", spread with mustard.
⑤ Place slice of cheese in bun, then sausage and fill it with grilled onions, top with Pico D' Gallo. Enjoy this spicy juicy treat!
