BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Dog

Ingredients

• 8 beef hot dogs
• 8 Poppy Seed Hot Dog Turano Bleacher Buns
• 8 slices of bacon
• 4 large onions, thinly sliced
• 2 tablespoons of bourbon
• 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon of olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Shredded cheese
• Pickled jalapeños
• BBQ sauce


Directions

① Prepare the grill: Preheat to medium heat.
② Wrap hot dogs: Wrap each hot dog with a slice of bacon, securing with toothpicks if needed.
③ Cook onions: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add onions, and cook until softened.
④ Add bourbon and brown sugar: Stir in brown sugar and bourbon. Cook until onions are golden and caramelized. Season with salt and pepper.
⑤ Grill hot dogs: Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs on the grill. Cook, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy.
⑥ Assemble and serve: Place each hot dog in a bun, top with bourbon-glazed onions, and add any extra toppings. Serve hot.
