Blue Cheese and Walnut Dip
Ingredients
10 slices Pane Turano, cut in half, toasted
2 Tbl. vegetable oil
½ green bell pepper, diced
½ red bell pepper, diced
½ cup sweet corn kernels
3 oz. chopped walnuts
Pinch of salt
8 oz. cream cheese
4 oz. crumbled blue cheese
¼ cup milk
½ tsp. black pepper
Directions
Heat oil in a medium sauté pan over medium high heat.
Add peppers, corn, walnuts and salt, then stir until softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream cheese, blue cheese, milk, and pepper until soft and thoroughly combined.
Preheat broiler to low.
Transfer mixture into a cast iron or ceramic baking dish/soufflé.
Place under broiler for about 2 minutes or until browned over the top.
Serve warm with toasted Pane Turano.
