Bruschetta "Nachos"
Ingredients
5 slices Pane Turano, quartered
½ cup olive oil
1 clove garlic
2 roma tomatoes, diced, sprinkled with a pinch of salt and pepper
½ cup shredded mozzarella
5-6 basil leaves, chiffonade (cut into thin ribbons)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil.
Place bread, olive oil side up, on a baking sheet. Bake 3-4 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Let cool 1-2 minutes.
Rub garlic clove against individual bread pieces.
Sprinkle bread with tomatoes and cheese, then return to the oven 3-4 minutes to melt the cheese.
Sprinkle with basil and serve.
