Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread

Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread

Ingredients

• 5 Turano Soft Sub Rolls
• 1 Bag shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1 Stick Butter, softened
• Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
• 1 tsp Garlic Salt
• 5 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp grated parmesan
• 3 tbsp olive oil
• 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
• 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
• 1 tsp granulated sugar
• 1/2 tsp dried basil
• 1/2 tsp dried oregano
• Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

① Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Start by cutting the Soft Sub rolls in half, then cut 2 slits starting at the top, be careful not to cut fully through when making the slits.
② Place the cut Soft Sub Rolls into a 13x19 baking dish and begin to fill each slit with shredded mozzarella cheese.
③ To make the garlic butter, mix together softened butter, chopped parsley, grated parmesan cheese, garlic salt and 2 minced garlic cloves until well-combined.
④ Using a brush, spread the butter mixture on the top of each roll.
⑤ Place the baking dish in the oven for 12 minutes or until the cheese has melted and bread has toasted.
⑥ While the dish is in the oven, heat a sauce pan of medium-high heat, add the oil and wait until simmering. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté until browned (about 3 minutes). Stir occasionally to avoid burning the garlic. Once browned, remove the garlic and discard.
⑦ In the sauce pan, stir in crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, pepper. Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes. Once flavors have combined, reduce to low heat to keep warm.
⑧ Remove the baking dish from the oven, allow to slightly cool and then serve with the tomato sauce for dipping.
