Spicy Buffalo Ranch Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Spicy Buffalo Ranch Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients

• Turano Plain Bleacher Buns
• 2 chicken breasts
• 3-4 jalapeños
• 1-2 yellow onion
• Olive oil
• 2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp pepper
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 Lager beer
• 2 tsp paprika
• 2 cups flour

Spicy Buffalo Ranch
• 1 tbsp sour cream
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• Your favorite hot sauce
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Directions

① To prepare chicken breasts, submerge them in lukewarm water with a healthy tablespoon of salt for about 15 minutes--this will make it super juicy and tender.
② While the chicken is submerged, prep your onion ring mix by getting a bowl or semi-deep plate and adding flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and pepper. Pour about half a can/bottle of beer in the mixture and mix. Add more beer as needed, but the mixture should not be watery as it needs to stick to the onion rings. Make a second bowl with breadcrumbs as well.
③ Fill your pan with olive oil get it started with heat, and bring to a boil. Cut the onion rings and dip in the mixture, then breadcrumbs. Once you have dipped all the onion rings in the mixture and breadcrumbs, they can be added to the boiling oil (be careful!) Leave them in there until you see that nice crisp.
④ At this point your chicken should be ready for beating. Take your time with this. Season the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any of your favorite seasonings.
⑤ Once your grill is heated on medium to high heat, add the chicken and jalapenos. The jalapeños are best done away from the flame and grilled slowly--sometimes over 30 minutes. The chicken, depending on size, thickness, can take longer as well. Keep an eye on the chicken and once it's done, make sure to let it rest off of the grill for 15 minutes before cutting it.
⑥ While the chicken and jalapeños are grilling, you can take time to make the spicy buffalo ranch mixture with the butter milk, sour cream, garlic and onion powder, and your favorite red hot sauce.
⑦ You can also grill your Turano Bleacher Buns if you would like a little crunch and texture on the buns.
⑧ To assemble, add the buffalo ranch mixture to the bottom bun, top with the chicken (you can cut the chicken if you'd like to make it more applicable to the bun size--like we did in the picture), cut up jalapeños, onion rings, and the top of the burger bun.
